I FORO INTERNACIONAL ECONOMIA, CLIMA Y ENERGIA
El I Foro Internacional Economía, Clima y Energía nace con la vocación de tener un impacto en la opinión pública, aportar luces a un debate crucial para la sostenibilidad del planeta y ofrecer soluciones pragmáticas y respetuosas con el crecimiento económico y libertad de mercado.
Con este foro el queremos mostrar cómo el alarmismo climático, las políticas decrecentistas y los reiterados errores en el diseño de políticas energéticas no sólo suponen un exorbitante aumento del gasto público y de la presión legislativa sobre los contribuyentes, sino que contribuyen directamente al aumento de la vulnerabilidad de las sociedades frente a los cambios del clima y los procesos de crisis económica.

Bjorn Lomborg
Investigador danés centrado en encontrar las formas más inteligentes de mejorar el mundo. A través de su centro de investigación, el Copenhagen Consensus, ha trabajado con destacados economistas y varios premios Nobel para identificar soluciones eficaces a grandes desafíos globales como el hambre, las enfermedades, el cambio climático y la educación. La revista Time lo incluyó entre las 100 personas más influyentes del mundo. Es visiting fellow en la Hoover Institution de la Universidad de Stanford y colabora habitualmente en medios como The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, CNN, FOX y la BBC.
Michael Shellenberg
Activista medioambiental estadounidense. Es fundador y presidente de Environmental Progress, una organización de investigación independiente con sede en Berkeley, California, que promueve la energía limpia y la justicia energética. Es también CBR Chair of Politics, Censorship, and Free Speech en la Universidad de Austin. Durante más de dos décadas, ha escrito sobre energía y medioambiente para The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal y Nature Energy, entre otras publicaciones. La revista Time lo nombró “Héroe del medioambiente” en 2008.
John Constable
Es actualmente Profesor de Energía, Economía y Civilización, y Director del Future of Energy Institute en la University of Austin, Texas (UATX). También es director de la Renewable Energy Foundation (REF), y ha enseñado en las universidades de Kioto y de Cambridge, donde fue investigador sénior en Magdalene College. El profesor Constable es conocido por su postura de que la entropía de los combustibles es un factor crítico en la generación, el aumento y el mantenimiento tanto de la riqueza como de la complejidad social en general. Sobre esta base teórica, es crítico con la inclusión de las energías renovables en la política climática.
Guillermo Moya García-Renedo
Directivo y académico español con más de 25 años de experiencia internacional en infraestructuras, medioambiente y energía. Compagina su labor profesional con la docencia en la Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICAI) y en el Centro de Estudios, Formación y Análisis Social del CEU (CEFAS). Ingeniero de Caminos y MBA por la Universidad de Columbia, ha ampliado su formación en Harvard y la UNED, y es alumni del Aspen Institute. Ha sido presidente de la Asociación de Becarios Rafael del Pino y secretario del Centro Diego de Covarrubias.
Andy Mayer
Director de Operaciones, Secretario General y Analista de Energía en el Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). Con más de 25 años de experiencia en comunicación estratégica y gestión operativa en el ámbito empresarial y de los think tanks, supervisa el equipo, las operaciones y la reputación del IEA. Escribe y comenta regularmente sobre políticas energéticas y climáticas desde una perspectiva de libre mercado, y anteriormente fue jefe de Asuntos Públicos en el Reino Unido para la mayor empresa química del mundo y asesor en energía verde de la principal compañía británica.
Rod Richardson
Rod Richardson es presidente de The Grace Richardson Fund, una fundación privada de investigación cuya misión es desarrollar nuevas soluciones de política pública basadas en el libre mercado en materia de clima, energía, recursos naturales y medio ambiente. GRF impulsa la innovación colaborativa en políticas públicas, reuniendo a distintas organizaciones para elaborar propuestas utilizando las herramientas del libre mercado: libre comercio, competencia, derechos de propiedad, políticas fiscales del lado de la oferta, democracia y Estado de derecho, entre otras. Rod también es fundador y copresidente de la Climate & Freedom International Coalition, un encuentro mensual en línea que reúne a decenas de think tanks, académicos y expertos para compartir los avances más relevantes en políticas de energía y clima en sus respectivos países.

The First International Forum on Economy, Climate and Energy has been designed with the aim of having an impact on public opinion, shedding light on a crucial debate for the planet’s sustainability, and offering pragmatic solutions that respect economic growth and market freedom.
With this forum, we want to show how climate alarmism, degrowth policies, and repeated mistakes in the design of energy policies not only entail an exorbitant increase in public spending and legislative pressure on taxpayers, but also directly contribute to increasing societies’ vulnerability to climate change and economic crises.

Bjorn Lomborg
Danish researcher focused on finding the smartest ways to improve the world. Through his think tank, the Copenhagen Consensus, he has worked with leading economists and several Nobel Laureates to identify effective solutions to global challenges such as hunger, disease, climate, and education. Time magazine included him among the world’s 100 most influential people. He is a visiting fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and a regular commentator in major outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, CNN, FOX, and the BBC. He is the best-selling author of books including False Alarm, The Skeptical Environmentalist, and Cool It.
Michael Shellenberger
American environmental activist. He is the founder and president of Environmental Progress, an independent research organization based in Berkeley, California, that advocates for clean energy and energy justice. He also serves as the CBR Chair of Politics, Censorship, and Free Speech at the University of Austin. For more than two decades, he has written about energy and the environment for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and Nature Energy, among other publications. Time magazine named him a “Hero of the Environment” in 2008.
John Constable
John Constable is currently Davis Family Professor of Energy, Economics and Civilization, and Director of the Future of Energy Institute at the University of Austin, Texas (UATX). He is also director of the Renewable Energy Foundation (REF), and has taught at the universities of Kyoto, and at Cambridge, where he was Senior Research Fellow at Magdalene College. Professor Constable is known for his view that the entropy of fuels is of critical concern in the generation, augmentation and maintenance of both wealth and general societal complexity. On this theoretical ground he is a critic of the specification of renewable energy in climate policy. Amongst Dr Constable’s publications is Europe’s Green Experiment: A Costly Failure in Unilateral Climate Policy (2022).
Guillermo Moya García-Renedo
Spanish executive and academic with over 25 years of international experience in infrastructure, environmental services, and energy management. He combines his professional work with teaching at Comillas Pontifical University (ICAI) and the CEU Center for Social Studies, Training, and Analysis (CEFAS). A Civil Engineer and MBA graduate from Columbia University, he has pursued further studies at Harvard and UNED and is an Aspen Institute alumnus. He has served as president of the Rafael del Pino Scholars Association and secretary of the Diego de Covarrubias Center.
Andy Mayer
Chief Operating Officer, Company Secretary, and Energy Analyst at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). With over 25 years of experience in strategic communications and operations across business and think tanks, he oversees the IEA’s people, operations, and reputation. He writes and comments regularly on free-market approaches to energy and climate policy and previously served as Head of UK Public Affairs for the world’s largest chemical company and as green energy advisor to the UK’s largest firm.
Rod Richardson
Rod Richardson is President of The Grace Richardson Fund, a private research foundation with a mission to pioneer new free market policy solutions on climate, energy, natural resources and the environment. GRF employs collaborative policy innovation, bringing groups together to develop policies using the free market toolbox: free trade, competition, property rights, supply side tax policy, democracy, and rule of law, etc. Rod is also founder and co-chair of the Climate & Freedom International Coalition, an online monthly meeting that convenes scores of fellow think tanks, scholars and experts, sharing the most important developments in energy and climate policy in their own country.
